About Vialog

Vialog is a reference for research compounds. It records what the published literature actually establishes about a short list of compounds, and it records where each figure came from.

Why it exists

Search any research compound and the same numbers come back across dozens of sites, none of them attributed. Follow one to its origin and it frequently turns out to be a rodent study, or a cell assay, or nothing at all. The figure travels; the context does not. That gap is what this site is for.

What we are not

We are not clinicians and we do not give medical or dosing advice. We do not rank or recommend sellers. We do not test material ourselves — where we discuss certificates of analysis, we are explaining how to read a document, not vouching for anyone's.

Our claim to authority is methodological rather than clinical: we read primary literature, record the species, route, sample size and source behind every number, and publish the disagreements we find instead of resolving them into one confident figure. Everything we will and will not publish is written down in the editorial policy.

Scope

Coverage is deliberately narrow. Compounds are added when there is enough primary literature to build a record worth reading, and a record is not published until its identity data has been verified against a primary chemical database.
